Joint Support Ship
On November 24, 2006 Public Works and Government Services announced that the team led by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems Canada Inc. was selected to receive a contract for the project definition phase of the Joint Support Ships project.
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems Canada Inc. has awarded the contract to complete proposals to design and build the ships, as well as to provide long-term in-service support.
In executing the Joint Support Ship Project Definition Phase, TKMS Canada Inc. has fully exported the German based experience and expertise whilst maximizing industrial and regional benefits through the Canadian CANAMP team members: Flensburger, L3 ES, Maersk Canada Inc., MDA, Peter Kiewit Sons Co. and Xwave.
