TKMS Blohm+Voss Nordseewerke: Another two of the new 3,400 TEU container ship series ordered and first of the series to be launched

Hamburg / Emden, May 5, 2008

TKMS Blohm+Voss Nordseewerke, a company of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems,
has won the order for the construction of another two 3,400 TEU container ships.
Both ships will be built at the Emden shipyard and are scheduled for delivery in
2010 and 2011. With this order, TKMS Blohm+Voss Nordseewerke now has
contracts for eight ships of the new 3,400 TEU series. The first of the series will be
launched on May 9, 2008.

The ship with the yard No. 556 will be launched by Marion Breker, sponsor of the
ship and wife of Hans-Peter Breker (member of the Executive Board of
ThyssenKrupp Technologies). After having been named, the ship will be launched
into the Emden port basin. Immediately after being afloat, the CSAV RUNGUE will be
hauled to the outfitting pier, where she will stay until delivery end of August 2008.

The highly compact 3,400 TEU container ships have been newly developed by
TKMS Blohm+Voss Nordseewerke. The ships are characterized by a high payload
capacity and a high speed in combination with low fuel consumption. The optimized
stowage spaces below and on deck comply with the requirements of the charter
companies for worldwide service and the ships are especially suitable for economic
feeder and line service.

The CSAV RUNGUE was ordered by GEBAB, Meerbusch, and will be operated by
the shipping line MARTIME in Elsfleth. Upon delivery in summer, the ship will be
initially chartered for 60 months to the Chilean shipping line Compañía
SudAmericana de Vapores S.A.

On May 16, 2008, the keel for the next 3,400 TEU container ship with yard No. 557
shall be laid in Emden.
